According to Caris Davis, writer for www.people.com, Angelina maybe taking Tom Cruise’s place on the movie Edwin A. Salt.

Variety

says that Tom Cruise wanted the role, but he dropped out. Now the writers are rewriting the role for a female.

The article did not say why Cruise back out of the role.

If Angelina takes the role, and if everything works out, then she will be playing a “CIA officer falsely accused of being a Russian agent.”

And there will be a new actress taking on the role of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

It will not be the same without Angelina. I like the Lara Croft movies, but not sure if I would be interested without her acting in the role.

Helicopter Fun

 Angelina Jolie stepped out with partner, Brad Pitt, and daughter, Zahara, today and went for a helicopter ride over the hills of France. The couple, accompanied by an unidentified elderly gentleman,  were reportedly getting an aerial view and tour of a large property. The property is located in South France, although the exact location is undisclosed.

Perhaps the villa they are currently residing in, belonging to Paul Allen, is not as private as they were hoping it would be. The pregnant actress kept a VERY low profile in Namibia where she had her youngest daughter, Shiloh. Here in France, Miss Jolie and her family have been photographed on the balconies of their temporary home.

The foursome took a helicopter ride to visit a large property in an undisclosed location.

Brad and Angie’s fifth child is due this summer.

A Friend and Sister

A radiant looking Angelina Jolie stepped out Monday night for the Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards held in Washington D.C. Ms Jolie gave the Fern Holland Award to her close friend, Mariane Pearl, wife of slain journalist Daniel Pearl.

Since playing the role of Pearl in A Mighty Heartthe two have become good friends. Maddox, Pax and Adam (Mariane’s son) play together when they can. Jolie told the audience of Mariane’s gift of being a mother and said that Pearl was an example of “courage, hope and tolerance,”. While accepting the award, Pearl returned by saying that Jolie was “a sister”.

Voting In Family

As Americans get ready for the preliminary elections all eyes are on Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. In Angelina Jolie’s household things could be a bit complicated. It was released recently that Jolie is related to Sen. Hillary Clinton while partner, Brad Pitt, is related to Sen. Barack Obama.

Ninth cousins, twice removed, Clinton and Jolie share a French connection with Jean Cusson. Pitt and Obama are also ninth cousins and are related through Edwin Hickman. Wonder if this has any impact on who they vote for.
